I cried today…a good hard, snot dripping out of my nose kind of cry! Not because I’m scared, or lonely, or stressed. I cried for my neighbors, for my family and friends both near and far, I cried for the entire world! The world is different, maybe it is only going to be temporary, maybe it’s just going to be like this…but it is different. You can feel it (even from the confinement of shelter). I’ve also been feeling a heavy sense of helplessness the last few days. However, this morning when I heard the squawking of sirens and chatter in the street, I peered out my window to observe children and parents waving joyfully to an open-air configured jeep escorting ‘The Easter Bunny’ through the neighborhood. And, as silly as this may sound, that visual provoked my cry session. Because in that moment of time, I thought to myself “that should be Jesus waving to the children and their families… then they’d know REAL JOY” I wanted to shout it out my window! I wept because I want the whole world to know Jesus! To feel His love!

Amongst the confusion, the anger, the sadness, the isolation, the sickness, the hard times; it is in Him that we must trust. It is in Him and only Him that we will find peace and comfort and true joy! It is Him who will ease the pain and suffering of this world…this world that is different now.

Heavenly Father, keep giving us the strength to trust in You, to run to You during these hard times. And to praise You for the LOVE You surround us with! I know we will see our family & friends again, visit our favorite places and have beautiful adventures TOGETHER again! I’m soooooo looking forward to when that day comes and I can share it with you! Until then, keep seeking; keep asking; keep knocking (see Matthew 7:7-8)

It is well with me <3

Grander earth has quaked before Moved by the sound of His voice Seas that are shaken and stirred Can be calmed and broken for my regard And through it all, through it all My eyes are on You And through it all, through it all It is well And through it all, through it all My eyes are on You And it is well with me And far be it from me to not believe Even when my eyes can't see And this mountain that's in front of me Will be thrown into the midst of the sea And through it all, through it all My eyes are on You And through it all, through it all It is well And through it all, through it all My eyes are on You And it is well It is well So let go my soul and trust in Him The waves and wind still know His name So let go my soul and trust in Him The waves and wind still know His name So let go my soul and trust in Him The waves and wind still know His name The waves and wind still know His name And it is well with my soul It is well with my soul It is well with my soul It is well It is well with my soul Oh it is well with my soul (cause of who you are Lord) Oh it is well with my soul It is well with my soul And through it all, through it all My eyes are on You And through it all, through it all It is well Lord And through it all, through it all My eyes are on You And it is well with me Songwriters: Kristene Elizabeth Dimarco, Horatio Gates Spafford, Phil Paul Bliss
